Our City, Our Community, Our Chamblee

Meet Darron

A Record of Service

As Chairman of the Chamblee Architectural Review Board (ARB) and Governing Board Member of Chamblee Charter High, Darron has been a trusted advisor to the city for years. He has drafted meaningful recommendations about code compliance, ordinances and technical design elements making Chamblee a great place to live, work, eat, and play.

Darron is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a Master’s Degree in Accountancy as well as Undergraduate Degrees in Finance, Real Estate, and Management.  He is a well respected high school basketball coach and was selected as coach of the year in 1998-1999, 1999-2000, as well as 2006-2007.

In addition to being a small business owner and management consultant, he currently serves as Director of Finance at Church’s Chicken.

Darron’s work with Rancho Sahuarita in Arizona received national attention for incorporating 9 parks, 17 miles of pedestrian and cycling trails, a 15 acre man-made lake, a splash park, and miniature golf course in only 3,000 acres.

New Leadership for a Brighter Future

Darron’s Priorities

We expect our council to be practical, ethical, open-minded, innovative, and collaborative. We expect them to listen, to be our voice, to stand for something.

We need leaders with integrity who are not afraid to listen, to stand up for us. We need leaders with values. This is why I’m running. Together we can accomplish great things.

  • People

As a CPA and finance professional it is my job to minimize waste while ensuring our customers have the best possible experience and service. At its core, City Government is about people. It’s about public safety, education, infrastructure, and sanitation. I pledge to do everything I can to keep taxes low while maintaining the legendary services Chamblee is known for.

  • Education

Education matters — that’s why I serve on the Governing Board of the Chamblee Charter High School. Our children are our future and there’s nothing more important than giving them a head start.

  • Business

Time and time again I hear how difficult it is to do business with Chamblee. It shouldn’t be. We need a coordinated effort leveraging all of the city’s resources. As a citizen, small business owner, and financial executive I understand how to move our city forward.

  • Parks

Our parks and infrastructure have been neglected for years. We need a plan and we need it now. It’s time we stop wasting your money on rash decisions without community input. Let’s make Chamblee a more walkable, livable city.
